Our first pride!

Our first pride!

The kiddles are growing fast, and I’ve clearly been too busy to blog about them.

Billybean is 3 months old! He started rolling this week and can hold his head up for a really long time. He’s still a very happy, mellow baby. He’s a big baby, kind of chunky and totally kissable. His baby acne has finally disappeared.

Lauren is 9 months old (7 adjusted) and can sit on her own and feed herself. She just got her first two teeth and makes the most adorable faces as she chews her tongue. I see a lot of our donor in her, as well as her donor siblings. Sometimes that wierds me out a little.

I’ve decided to try to become an egg donor. I feel indebted to the universe for my beautiful babies. I figure, if they’ve given me so much joy, shouldn’t I at least try to give someone else as much happiness?

Life with our duo is wonderful! BillyBean is the most mellow baby I have ever met- He can sleep through anything. He took to breastfeeding so well that he was above birth weight by day four. I’m making way too much milk and have to pump after feeding him and sometimes just before so that he doesn’t drown in my letdown!

Mr BillyBean craps ALL THE TIME. Every diaper change is disgusting. LaurenBean always had the opposite problem- She only really started to poop normally last month. So we have a lot of adjusting to do- and we have to remember to secure every diaper very tightly! I might start putting a cloth diaper over our disposables just to catch overflow- My mother in law had to do that with her son, seems like a good idea to me!

LaurenBean  seems to have a food intolerance to wheat cereal. She has a wicked bum rash, vomitting and hours of screaming with terrible gas. All the next cereals have wheat in them, so I guess we’ll have to stick to barley and rice for a while and then try wheat again in a few weeks. I sure hope this isn’t an actual allergy.

I won’t go into great detail about my birth experience as I don’t want to scare away the ttc’ers out there! … It was hard.

-3 hours of pushing with a nurse that wouldn’t follow Dr.’s orders

-There was thin meconium in the amniotic fluid that worried me, but noone else.

-The day after delivery, I found out my doctor is being sued for leaving sponges inside a patient.

– Way too much tearing… internal, external.. everwhere. Ouch.

– The moment you see the baby, you realize the pain was all worth it. I loved him immediatly even though he was all swollen and chubby. He was my babybean and I earned him.

For the time being, our family feels complete. But I’ve already been asked when we’ll try again. It’s no secret that I want a big family, and we have 8 vials left that we’re paying rent on at two different storage facilities. Oddly enough, watching BillyBean being born didn’t scare Sarah from wanting to try again. She really wants to get her blood pressure under control so that she can try again in a year or two.

Well, gotta go clean everything. Anyone else out there over the moon excited about Cat Cora and her partner both being pregnant?

It’s a BOY !!!

Well, I am off to the hospital. I had contractions all night long and they’re 10 minutes apart now, whenever I stand or lie down.

Baby news and.. pureed food?

Went to the Dr. this morning. I had a very painful exam and found out that  I am 2cm dilated! I have a feeling he did one of those “sweeps” when he was up there because  I haven’t stopped bleeding since the exam. Why doesn’t anyone ever tell you how painful these exams are!? I almost crawled right off the table and I have a really high pain tolerance.. Or at least thought I did.

I was told that I’ll likely have the baby this weekend. If not, I will probably be induced on Tuesday! 🙂

Laurenbean has really started to change this week. She’s loving her cereal and pureed food and has started to reject her bottles. We’re going to switch over to a sippy cup if she doesn’t take the bottle soon. Her new favorite toy is the jumperoo and she can entertain herself in it for hours. Today she fell asleep while sitting in it and Sarahbean took a bunch of hilarious pictures. She’s also started blowing bubbles to make us laugh, and if we’re laughing she tries to join in. Her laughs are really strange though.. It sounds  like the nerds from revenge of the nerds and I don’t know where she got that from! (Certainly not from us!!)

Tomorrow we are going to start making our own baby food. I’m going to start out simple and try to figure out the best way to store the cubes of food. I’ve never done this before. I was thinking about using an ice cube tray and then transferring to a freezer ziplock bag .. I’m worried about freezer burn and I really don’t want to waste any food.

Hopefully I’ll be able to get some sleep tonight.. I know that I won’t be able to get much once the new baby arrives, if it’s even possible to get less than I do now.

I am sooo happy!

Have you heard? Cat Cora and her partner are both pregnant!

Things are going much better around here. I think I’m ready for this baby and I’m happier than ever. Tomorrow is our 3 year wedding anniversary and my due date. No signs of labor yet.

I might not have to delete this blog. I think my mother has creepy psychic powers instead of mad internet skillz.

I love my daughter and I’m very proud of her. I’ll post a bullet blog on all that later.

I have to delete this blog *sigh*

I wish I could enjoy this pregnancy. It took so much effort for me to get knocked up and I don’t feel like I’ve enjoyed any of it. I’m not happy. Not with the wifey and not with the thought of adding another screaming baby to the mix. This isn’t what growing our family was supposed to feel like.

Useless trip to the hospital

My 38 week appointment was crappy. I casually mentioned that the baby was moving less and had to go to the hospital for fetal monitoring. The Dr. assured us that it would take 10 minutes and then we’d be out of there.

Well. Turns out he’d sent just about all of his patients to triage and we had to wait over three hours to get checked out! I was sooo pissed, especially since we knew there was nothing wrong. The baby still moves around a lot- just less than it used to.

When I finally got hooked up to the monitor, nurses kept recognizing Sarah and I from her hellish stay. It’s nice to know that we’re memorable!

38 weeks

Today is our 38 week appointment, and we have to take Laurenbean with us. I hate bringing her to these appointments because the waiting room is filthy, and our Dr. is always 1-3 hours behind. It’s really hard to keep her busy (not screaming) for any length of time…

Babybean’s slowed down with the kicking and is probably saving all his/her energy for the big day. Sleeping’s becoming difficult because I can’t turn over without needing to use the washroom mid turn- so I’m very cranky lately.

I can’t leave town because I’m due so soon- So I hardly ever get to see my family. Yesterday my sisters and mom took me out shopping for the day which was fun, but my hips really regret that trip today!

Nothing else going on- just waiting for this baby to come.
